Uyet Survey Finds 67% of VTubers Face Mental Health Issues
Uyet Inc. published a survey on VTuber activities, lifestyle, and health on September 28, covering 311 VTubers and V-livers. The online clinic service haico Online Clinic ran the study, which asked 26 questions about daily rhythm, sleep, diet, exercise, physical symptoms, mental health, medical consultations, and willingness to keep streaming. About 67 percent of respondents reported mental health issues tied to streaming activity, and many said they keep working while in poor physical condition. The survey was run by uyet, the Shibuya-based company led by representative director Daiki Kajita, which describes itself as an IP content trading company. Sleep duration data was collected, though the excerpt reviewed for this report does not include the figure. The results point to a gap between the number of streamers reporting distress and the number who stop to rest.
