DEVIATION∞ Generates Techno That Never Bores With a Built-In Listener Simulator
The developer behind the Infinite Music Engine series built DEVIATION∞, a browser app that generates techno, minimal, and EDM using a listener simulator. The app estimates familiarity and prediction error, injecting deviations when the listener grows accustomed, then measuring the error to keep it in an optimal band. It was inspired by a post from Junichi Rekimoto.
