Aniplex released the web game EVOLVE RACER for the smartphone title Disney Twisted-Wonderland on September 24, 2026, for a limited time. Players switch between three lanes to dodge obstacles, collect items, and build score across 8 stages, with the background and BGM changing per stage. Filling the ENERGY gauge triggers Energy Fever, which nullifies obstacles and raises the score multiplier.
Genki began free distribution of the "MINI GT Collaboration Guest Rival DLC" for Tokyo Xtreme Racer on September 25, 2026 at 18:00. Three diecast-brand cars join as guest rivals: the 1997 Toyota Supra RZ (JZA80), the 2000 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II (BNR34), and the 2022 Honda Civic Type R (FL5). Winning a battle lets the player add the car to their garage as a custom car. The same DLC adds a new vehicle, the 1979 Datsun Sunny Truck 1200 Long Body Deluxe (GB121), which appears as a MINI GT rival and can be bought at the in-game dealer. The update Ver.1.6.0 also went out that day, adding DLC support, a pause when the controller connection drops, and bug fixes. The free Guest Rivals Vol. 3 download is limited-time, with no end date set.
G-MODE announced on September 2, 2026 that the feature phone version of Ridge Racer will be revived through its G-MODE Archives+ project, with the Switch version launching September 3 and the Steam version arriving September 16. The game is priced at 800 yen including tax. Ridge Racer originally operated in arcades in 1993 and was ported to home consoles the following year, with this release being the version optimized for feature phone applications. The revival includes three difficulty modes (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) plus a time trial mode where players race against rival cars to shorten their times. Four car types with different performance characteristics are included, such as acceleration-focused models, allowing players to select their preferred machine. This release marks the fifth Bandai Namco Entertainment revival title in the G-MODE Archives+ series, following Xenosaga Pied Piper, Namco Chronicle, Pac-Man, and Lost Chronicle, all of which are currently available.
At COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2026, Nitro Concepts showed the E-Racer racing sim rig, which uses fans to blow air in sync with race speed and a vibration unit called Immersion Track to simulate road feel through the seat. The frame alone costs nearly $400.
