Emergency Buddies Ambulance Sim Announced for Steam

Polden Publishing announced Emergency Buddies, a cooperative ambulance simulation developed by Gestalt Studio, and opened its Steam store page on August 6, 2026. The game supports up to four players who take on the roles of the world's most unreliable ambulance crew, responding to ridiculous emergency calls and transporting patients to the hospital, preferably alive. Players divide duties between driving and medical care: the driver must balance speed with carefulness, as sudden braking or aggressive cornering can harm the patient, while the medical staff drag patients off stretchers, force them through narrow doorways and stairs, and perform chest compressions in the back to buy time until arrival. The game has a strong comedic tone, with sloppy handovers and chaos in the back seat. It can be played solo or in co-op with friends. The announcement trailer shows scenes of loading medical supplies, scanning patients for injuries, carrying them on stretchers, and responding to locations such as roads, beaches, and forests, as well as reckless driving that destroys guardrails and patients dying during transport. The release date and price are undecided, and Japanese language support is planned.
