Faaast Penguin Adds FPX Badlands Wasteland World On October 15
Historia Inc. announced on October 8 that its free-to-play survival action racing game "Faaast Penguin" will add a new world, "FPX: Badlands," on October 15. The world is set in Sandbans (also rendered Sandbands), a wasteland town where sand and flames rage and where water and canned mackerel are treated as precious resources. Reckless racers gather there in the rowdy group "Mad Riders." Trick actions carry over from the existing world "FPX: Snowboarding," and the more tricks a player lands in the air, the more their base speed rises. A "Run Rank" displays during races and climbs C, B, A, S, X on points earned from tricks. Drum Rats, drums slung under flying seagulls, explode when a switch on a seagull's back is hit; the trailer shows players using the birds as stepping stones to run through the air. Two world-themed skins, "Crimson Ace Gear" and "Wasteland Courier Clutch," will be implemented. The game is free-to-play with cross-play and is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
