Forge of the Fae: Fiora and the Spirit Stone Trailer Shows Celtic Pixel RPG
Deck13 and developer Datadyne LLC released a new gameplay trailer on July 27, 2026 for the turn-based RPG 'Forge of the Fae: Fiora and the Spirit Stone'. The overseas-developed JRPG draws on classic titles the team played as children, including 'Secret of Mana', 'Breath of Fire', 'Final Fantasy', and 'Chrono Trigger'. The world is inspired by ancient Celtic mythology and a setting reminiscent of 19th-century Ireland, rendered in pixel art. The story is described as focused on mysteries, adventures, and diverse characters, with player choices affecting the ending. Combat combines skills, magic, and passives, and a system unlocks new special moves by combining skills and magic. Special moves called 'Adrenaline Surge' can be used without consuming turns. The game raised $226,782 on Kickstarter from September 24 to October 24, 2024. Music is by Yono Aoki, known for work on 'Mega Man Battle Network', 'Breath of Fire III', and 'Final Fantasy XV'. The release is scheduled for 2027 on Steam, GOG.com, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. A demo is available on Steam.
