Fortune's Run Price Slashed to 150 Yen Amid Steam Rights Dispute
The early access version of the action FPS 'Fortune's Run' on Steam has had its regular price cut from 2,300 yen to 150 yen, a change that took effect on August 26. This is not a limited-time sale but a permanent reduction in the game's base price, driven by ongoing rights troubles. Developer Dizzie, who was convicted and imprisoned in January 2025, resumed development in April 2026 after an early release, stating plans to complete unfinished stages and reach version 1.0. However, on August 24, Dizzie claimed a dispute arose with Kim, who managed the project during his incarceration, over Steamworks rights and sales. Dizzie alleged that project funds were stolen, that he has not received sales revenue, and that he will not continue development unless he regains legal ownership and revenue. On August 27, Dizzie said Valve is attempting to remove his access rights to the game. The Steam store page now warns that purchases are at the buyer's own risk and that no future updates will be provided. As of writing, Kim has not publicly responded to the allegations.
