Gun Interactive Says Horror Inc. Sued It Over Friday the 13th Royalties

Gun Interactive announced on August 28 that Horror Inc. is suing the developer over royalties from Friday the 13th: The Game. Gun says it has paid more than $18 million and that Horror Inc. approved accounting reports; Horror Inc. wants about $4 million more over accounting methods. Gun argues the 2016 litigation shrank the game's revenue and says it will fight the suit. The complaint was filed in the Central District of California.

Jason Voorhees Finally Joins Dead by Daylight After Decade of Rights Issues

Behaviour Interactive has added Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th series as a playable killer in Dead by Daylight, launching June 17. The character, named Slasher, arrives through a collaboration with Jason Universe. The announcement marks the first Friday the 13th content in the game after years of licensing hurdles.
