The Sinking City 2 Trades Open World for Density, and That Is the Point
Frogwares released The Sinking City 2 on August 18, 2026, a third-person survival horror game set in Lovecraft's world. The sequel moves away from the open-world detective adventure of the 2019 original and toward exploration, combat, and resource management with clear Resident Evil influence. Its 1920s Arkham is flooded, with roads turned to waterways, so protagonist Calvin Rafferty detours through buildings and operates sluice gates while searching for his comatose lover Faye.
