Gabriel Dropout Manga Ends in Next Chapter
The Gabriel Dropout manga will end with its next chapter, as announced in the September issue of Kadokawa's Dengeki Daioh G magazine. Ukami's comedy series began serialization in December 2013 in Dengeki Daioh G, initially on a bi-monthly schedule before switching to monthly serialization in April 2014. Kadokawa has compiled the series into sixteen volumes, with the latest shipped in September 2025. Yen Press publishes the manga in English, describing the story of Gabriel White Tenma, an angel who descends to Earth to guide humanity but falls into video game addiction. An anime adaptation produced by Studio Doga Kobo premiered in January 2017, directed by Masahiko Ohta, with a voice cast including Miyu Tomita as Gabriel, Naomi Oozora as Satania McDowell, Saori Oonishi as Vignette April Tsukinose, Kana Hanazawa as Raphiel Ainsworth Shiraha, and Inori Minase as Tapris Sugarbell Chisaki. Crunchyroll streams the anime. The magazine also publishes a spin-off manga, Tapris SugarStep by Bafako, focusing on the character Tapris.
