X PLUS is taking pre-orders on Amazon Japan for two 1/700 scale unpainted plastic model kits of Gamera from the 1996 film "Gamera 2: Legion Invasion". The flight version captures the high-mobility form with arms spread like wings, transparent jet nozzle parts, and a display base. The standard version stands about 10cm tall. Both are scheduled to release November 30, 2026.
Kaiyodo announced the ARTPLA SCULPTURE WORKS Gamera (1999) Re:Imagination plastic model kit, recreating the Shibuya battle scene from the 1999 film Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris. Preorders open July 31 at noon and run through August 28. The kit stands about 165mm tall, costs 9,900 yen, and releases in October.
Wonder Festival 2026 Summer (WF2026 Summer) opened on July 26, 2026, with multiple booths showcasing new figures and prototypes. At the CCPJAPAN booth, the "Phantom Ultimate Sculpt CCPJAPAN × Otaka Workshop Gamera (1996) Head Model" was displayed for the first time, alongside other monster figures including the AMC Gamera (2023), Big Retro Sofubi Series SpaceGodzilla, Godzilla (2016), and Hedorah. Prototypes from the MSS Godzilla EX line were also shown, featuring Godzilla (2023) Heat Ray, Godzilla (1998), SpaceGodzilla Flying Form, Godzilla (1967), Godzilla (2016) Second Form, and Gigan (2004). At the Medicos Entertainment booth, a Nendoroid of Diego Brando from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run and a Chozo Kado figure of THE WORLD were revealed. Medicos also displayed figures from Fist of the North Star and Attack on Titan, as well as items scheduled for sale at Wonder Festival 2027 Winter. The CAMELOT*18+ booth featured adult-oriented figures, including original character designs by artists Karutamo, Hiiragi, and Jobujun, and a new "Dosukebe Stripper Figure."
KADOKAWA's online lottery service Kujibikido is launching a Gamera online lottery, the franchise's first, to mark its 60th anniversary. Prizes include CCPJAPAN sofubi, acrylic dioramas, art panels, lobby cards, and badges. Sales start July 16, 2026, at 12:00 JST.
