Gateholt Demo Hits Steam Ahead Of October 23 Release
Korean indie studio DOMADOZ has released a free demo of Gateholt on Steam. The cooperative exorcism simulation is playable by one to four players and is scheduled for a full release on October 23, 2026, with Japanese display support. Players enter a cursed mansion and purify it by erasing the traces evil spirits leave behind, including dried bloodstains, cursed objects, and marks carved into walls. There are 14 types of purification tasks, each requiring different tools, so players decide what to carry in before entering. The demo includes two types of evil spirits and two types of minions; the full version is planned to have more than 10 types of each. Players carry no weapons and survive by running, hiding, and buying time with talismans. As purification advances, the spirit searches more actively, and once cornered it goes berserk and awakens its minions.
