GeForce NOW Workaround Opens Windows Desktop via Trove Session
A workaround for NVIDIA's GeForce NOW cloud gaming service reportedly allows access to a Windows desktop. The method, reported by Tom's Hardware on August 10, uses a session of the game Trove. When it works, it displays a Windows desktop with a taskbar and icons, and can launch non-game applications. The demo ran Google's Gemma 4 31B with LM Studio at about 41 tokens per second.
