Eldrem Studios Announces Open-World RPG Eldrem: Kingdoms, Targets 2027 PC Early Access

Eldrem Studios announced the action RPG Eldrem: Kingdoms and released a teaser trailer. Co-founder Daniel George Cercheaza is a former Ubisoft Bucharest developer who worked on Ghost Recon Wildlands and Assassin's Creed titles. The team totals 10 developers. The buy-to-play, single-player game features monster collection, riding, raising from eggs, base building, and crafting. A Kickstarter that launched September 9 hit its $20,000 goal in five hours; PC early access is planned for 2027.

Ubisoft Confirms CPU-Related Performance Issues in Ghost Recon Wildlands

Ubisoft has confirmed that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands suffers performance issues on 12th-generation Intel CPUs and later, caused by Hyper-Threading effects. The company is investigating and will provide further information, but has not confirmed a fix. The issue has been known since around 2025 and persists after the August 7 update.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier Is Free on Ubisoft Connect Until August 13

Ubisoft is giving away the PC version of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier on Ubisoft Connect from August 7 until August 13 at 17:00. The 2012 third-person tactical shooter is part of the Ghost Recon series' 25th anniversary campaign. On Steam it holds a 'Mostly Positive' rating with 70% of about 5,000 reviews positive, though players note performance issues and ended online features. The game does not support Japanese. Series-wide sales are running with discounts up to 95%.

Ghost Recon Wildlands 95% Off Sale Runs With Last Rites Update

Ubisoft is running a sale on Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands through August 17, dropping the base game to 330 yen, a 95% discount from its 6,600 yen list price, on both Steam and the Ubisoft Store. The Definitive Edition, which includes the season pass, is 75% off at 3,492 yen, while the sequel Ghost Recon Breakpoint is also 95% off at 462 yen. A six-game Ghost Recon Bundle, including the original 2001 title, is 90% off at 1,751 yen. The sale coincides with the August 6 release of the free major update "Last Rites," which adds a standalone mission set in a darker Bolivia where players track cult leader La Llorona. The update also brings 4K resolution and 60fps support to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, along with visual improvements and customizable gameplay options. A limited-time free play period for Wildlands and Breakpoint runs through August 10, and Ghost Recon Future Soldier is free on Ubisoft Connect until August 13. Ubisoft has also opened registration for an insider program for the next Ghost Recon title.

Ghost Recon Wildlands Gets Free Last Rites Update With 4K and 60fps Support

Ubisoft released the free update "Last Rites" for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands on August 7, 2026, as part of the Ghost Recon series' 25th anniversary. The update adds a new standalone mission set in territory controlled by the cult Los Penitentes, led by the vengeful La Llorona. Players can launch the mission directly from the main menu without clearing the main campaign. On PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the game now runs at 4K resolution and 60fps, with improved long-distance rendering, lighting, and shadows. New customization options include Ghost Parameters, HUD and Difficulty Options, and World and Session Settings, letting players adjust enemy firepower, vehicle durability, reload animations, and mission time of day. The popular Predator mission "The Jungle Moved" returns in the Caimanes province, rewarding players with the Predator Bio Mask, and the Predator Pack is back in the store. Battle Crates and Prestige Crates are no longer sold, with their items now available as Collections. A Definitive Edition bundles the base game, both season passes, and all DLC for new players.
