Fan-Made 'Spikki Raising' MMO Goes Mobile With EPID Games Server Support

The fan-made browser MMORPG 'Spikki Raising,' based on the 'Spikki' meme from the smartphone RPG 'Trikkar: Mochimochi Cheeks Great Strategy,' has announced mobile support and received server hardware from the original developer, EPID Games. The game launched on August 6 and quickly grew popular, with servers initially capped at 120 players before being expanded to four channels of 300 each, accommodating up to 1,200 players. Reports indicated concurrent player counts reached around 900. On August 21, a video revealed that the game would support iOS and Android, with the update scheduled for 4:00 PM JST. The same video showed EPID Games CEO Han Jong-hyun handing a server computer to the developer, Dan-teuk, who commented, 'They gave me a really good server.' Despite this support, Dan-teuk maintains the game is still unofficial, though fans have celebrated it as 'officially recognized.' The game allows players to become Spikki, hunt enemies, level up, collect equipment, and interact with other players through chat, emotes, and dances. EPID Games has a history of encouraging fan creations, including awarding prizes to creators.
