Bandai Namco Details GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT High-Speed Action For March 2027
Bandai Namco Entertainment will release the action game GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on March 5, 2027. Producer Yuya Tomiyama and director Yoshiyuki Serizawa discussed the project in a joint media interview. The game's concept is a battle between a Gundam and an extraterrestrial life form called the Apocalypse, fought mainly with close-range weapons. Serizawa said the development team chose high-speed action to emphasize the feel of destroying parts of a giant enemy, and that Tactical Skills can interrupt any action to remove openings. The Gundam Helix changes appearance through exterior armor. Tomiyama said a straight run through the story takes about 20 hours, that a three-player co-op mission unlocks after the story, and that there is no photo mode. The game shares a worldview with the anime Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO.
