Konami's Suikoden: The Anime, an adaptation of Suikoden II, will premiere on October 3, 2026. The first episode runs 60 minutes and airs on Tokyo MX at 11:30 p.m. local time, with broadcasts following on Kansai TV, BS Asahi, and 32 other stations nationwide between October 6 and October 9. The third promotional video, released on September 17, previews the ending theme 'closed eye sun' by Kōji Nakamura, featuring Honoka Takahashi of Legal Lily as guest vocalist and lyricist. The video also previews the opening theme 'Kanashimi Sae Otonabite' by amazarashi. The song will be available for streaming from October 4, with pre-add and pre-save open since September 18. Kōji Nakamura also composed the anime's background music, while Go Hiyama joins him on arrangement.

Koei Tecmo Games released the sixth DLC set for Dead or Alive 6 Last Round on August 6, 2026. The Honoka Secret Sunflower Set includes four swimsuit costumes with summer accessories and color variations. The August 2026 DLC roadmap was also announced, featuring swimsuit costumes for Honoka, Marie Rose, NiCO, and Nyotengu.

Honoka Murakami, who played Setsu Uozumi (Yūnagi) in the NHK morning drama 'Kaze, Kaoru,' posted a close-up photo on Instagram on June 30. The photo was taken by video director Tomokazu Saito, leading fans to speculate she may be appearing in a new project by Saito. Murakami has not confirmed wrapping filming for the drama, and viewers hope for Setsu's return.

The official website for the television anime of Mochimaru Sakaki's The World's Strongest Witch light novel series began streaming a promotional video on Friday. The video reveals two new cast members: Fairouz Ai as Erimina, the master of the adventurers' guild known as the "Inferno Witch," and Honoka Inoue as Eruna, an elf princess who worries over her sick mother. Azusa Tachibana was previously announced as protagonist Rona Hermit. The anime is directed by Jōji Furuta at studios Bridge and Aisle and will premiere in October.

Manga creator Masaki Ando and voice actor Honoka Kuroki announced their marriage on social media on Sunday. Ando, known for Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki, and Kuroki, whose roles include Shiharu Itemae in the same series, posted statements expressing mutual respect and gratitude. Their announcements received over 100,000 combined likes.
