Ingame Studios' next project moves away from the crime shooter it is known for. On September 9, 505 Games and Ingame Studios announced Mayhem A La Carte - Chaos Kitchen, a co-op cooking shooter. Players work as chefs in a restaurant kitchen and fill orders while armed enemies raid the room, cooking with a weapon in one hand and defending with the other. Cooking tools and dishes double as weapons: a frying pan for melee, a thrown knife, bread fired from a toaster, a burnt failed dish that explodes like a bomb, and a cold dessert that freezes enemies.

The game supports solo play and online co-op for up to four players. It is planned for early access on PC via Steam in 2027, with two restaurants included at launch. Ingame Studios is known for the crime action FPS Crime Boss: Rockay City.

That earlier game is still being updated. On June 19, publisher 505 Games and Ingame Studios released Update #21, the largest update to date for Crime Boss: Rockay City. It adds a new Story Mode with two missions, including an alien-themed level, and shifts the game's focus from its roguelite permadeath mode toward a narrative-driven single-player experience. A 90 percent off Steam sale brought the game to 230 yen until June 26.

Taken together, the two stories show a studio splitting its attention: maintaining a live crime shooter while building a new co-op cooking FPS with the same publisher. The Mayhem A La Carte announcement commits 505 Games to a 2027 early access release that, by the plan's own framing, will need at least six more months of content additions before the official launch.
