Iron Gate Confirms No Valheim 2 as Full Release Nears
Iron Gate confirmed at gamescom 2026 that a Valheim sequel is not in development. The community, asked on social media and Discord about a sequel, overwhelmingly asked for more content for the original game instead. Valheim's full 1.0 release arrives September 9 with the Deep North biome, two new dungeons, rideable moose, and a clear ending. Development will continue after 1.0, expanding the game rather than building a sequel.
