Smoking Behind the Supermarket With You Anime Reveals English Dub Cast
Crunchyroll began streaming the English dub for the television anime adaptation of Jinushi's manga Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You on Thursday, July 24. The English cast includes Giles Panton as Sasaki, Caitlyn Bairstow as Yamada/Tayama, Andrew Francis as Suzuki, Ruth Alexander as Ono, and Brian Dobson as Sasaki's Boss. The anime premiered on TBS and its 27 affiliate channels on July 9 at 11:56 p.m. JST, with streaming also available on ABEMA and Netflix. Crunchyroll streams the series in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and India. The anime's limited advance streaming on ABEMA in Japan began on June 3, with Crunchyroll also releasing the first 12 mini-episodes that same day. Each mini-episode is 10 minutes long, and together they present episodes 1-6 in chronological order. The Japanese voice cast features Takuya Satō as Sasaki, Seena Hoshiki as Yamada/Tayama, Shinya Takahashi as Suzuki, Toa Yukinari as Gotō, Megumi Toyoguchi as Ōno, Rikuya Yasuda as Obata, and Yōko Hikasa as Maezawa. Tadato Suzuki and Aoi Mori are directing the anime at Asahi Production, with Mio Inoue handling series scripts and Yasuka Ōtaki designing the characters. The opening theme is performed by ZUTOMAYO, and the ending theme by imase.
