Kamui, Peanuts-kun, Poser Shiraishi to Host Hip-Hop Show on ABEMA
Rapper Kamui will host his first regular television program, "Kamui's HYPE THE HOPE," on ABEMA starting Friday, May 29 at 11:00 PM. The show features VTuber and rapper Peanuts-kun and streamer Poser Shiraishi as co-hosts. Each episode will focus on live commentary and analysis of hip-hop music videos, with the trio stopping the video at points of interest to discuss direction, lyrics, and cultural context. The program's stage is set as the backstage of a circus. The first episode will cover music videos including YZERR's "MONEY RAIN (feat. YTG)," JAYCORPSE's "I♡WAKA (feat. TOFU, HARKA, 7, ENEL, T.i.G skysea & MIKADO)," and Mall Boyz's "M to B o (feat. Tohji & gummyboy)." Kamui said he initially doubted a direct message from ABEMA president Fujita about the show, and that he considers the program the last one Fujita created during his presidency. To coincide with the announcement, Kamui released a new song "Usagi to Kame" on May 25, with a music video premiering on May 28.
