Toei Animation released non-credit videos for the opening and ending themes of 'Our Selected Best Adventure' on October 4. Ayumi Miyazaki and Takayoshi Tanimoto perform the songs. 'SHAKARIKI!!' is the opening, 'Limitless Dreams' the ending, both with lyrics by Hiroshi Yamada, music by Michihiko Ohta, and arrangement by Takayoshi Tanimoto. The opening gathers characters from the four series that were voted on and hints at the start of a new adventure.

Toei Animation released the main PV for 'Our Chosen Best Adventure' on September 27, a broadcast of fan-selected episodes from Digimon Adventure, Adventure 02, Tamers, and Frontier. The PV shows the first footage from the TV anime Digimon Adventure restored in HD remaster and unveils the opening theme 'SHAKARIKI!!' sung by Koji Miyazaki and Takayoshi Tanimoto. Broadcast begins October 4 on Fuji TV and other stations.

Game & Co. opened pre-orders on Wednesday for Booster Pack Vol. 5 of its trading card game Xross Stars, titled Ignition Vortex. The set goes on sale Friday, October 30, 2026. One pack holds eight randomly enclosed cards and costs 475 yen, while a 12-pack box costs 5,700 yen and includes a box purchase bonus. The set adds 16 leader cards: eight new leaders and eight returning ones, with returning leaders drawn in new illustrations and card text. The new leader lineup includes names such as Akizuki Kohaku, Selly, dtto., LEO, Aoi Sakura, Kamito, Shibuya Haru, and tttcheekyttt. Three leaders return from earlier sets: Shinomiya Runa from Vol. 3, Raijin from Vol. 4, and Kozumi Sena from Vol. 1. Game & Co. is developing the game as a joint project with Samurai Koubou.

Kayo, leader of Nagoya-based electro x hip-hop x idol group HATEandTEARS, is launching the solo project Kanade Miru. The first single, SUN LAND SUN, releases worldwide on August 14, 2026. The project moves beyond the group's SHOCK POP framework, pursuing more personal expression as an individual artist.

Mahjong Pros Publishing announced at San Diego Comic-Con that it has licensed two new manga: Bird, a mahjong gambling thriller about an illusionist and an undefeated cheater, and Akayoroshi: Hanafuda Shadow Games, a historical thriller set in 1876 Yokohama. Both are set for release in November 2026.

The live-action film adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto's Look Back one-shot manga has revealed a new trailer, six additional cast members, and a September 11 opening date in Japan. Masaki Suda plays editor Maeda, with Kankurō Kudō, Kayo Noro, Ryō Ikeda, Miyu Sasaki, and Maho Yamada also joining. GKIDS will release the film in North America, the U.K., and Ireland in 2026.

Animator and illustrator Kayoko Ishikawa, known for her work on the Aikatsu! series and Yuri!!! on ICE, will release her first art book, Kayoko Ishikawa Design Works TEATRO, on July 15 through publisher BNN. The book collects over 500 illustrations spanning 12 titles, including character designs, layout drawings, and ED video sketches, plus new art and an interview.

Animator Kayoko Ishikawa, known for her design work on 'Aikatsu!', will release her first art collection 'Kayoko Ishikawa Design Works TEATRO' on July 15. The 184-page volume from BNN includes over 500 illustrations, covering her work on 'Aikatsu!', 'Sarazanmai', 'LUPIN the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine', and nine MAPPA titles including 'Yuri!!! on ICE', 'Chainsaw Man', and 'Zenshu.' It also features new drawings, an interview, and commentary.
