Kemono Friends is active across streaming, a location-based AI chat service, and a merchandise tie-up. All 24 episodes of the first two TV seasons are streaming free on ABEMA, the Japari Talk Zoo Mode web version is running at Morioka ZOOMO, and a collaboration with NHK's Darwin Comes! goes on sale in September 2026.
Kemono Friends spent mid-2026 widening its reach rather than announcing a new anime. On July 21, 2026, ABEMA began free broadcasts of all 12 episodes of Kemono Friends and all 12 episodes of Kemono Friends 2. Season 1 ran at 1:15 PM and 1:15 AM on July 21, Season 2 started at 7:15 PM that day, and further slots followed on July 22. Each broadcast stayed archived for a week.
In September the franchise moved into a park. The web version of Japari Talk Zoo Mode, the official AI chat service, launched September 1 at Morioka City Zoological Park ZOOMO. It drops the LINE account friend-add requirement of earlier versions, so visitors scan QR codes posted in the park and chat without registering. Trippy handles production, migration, and operation with Hakuhodo, and charges 300 yen for an Adventure Pass that unlocks a stamp rally and card collection. Trippy says it intends to bring the model to zoos and aquariums nationwide.
The most recent story is a merch tie-up with NHK nature program Darwin Comes!, announced for September 2026. Goods go on sale early from September 12, 2026 at the Ikimono Super World Exhibition in Tokyo, and include acrylic keychains featuring a Friends-ified Higejii.
