Ketsu Battler Series 2 Update Adds DLC Fighter Kiden and Serious Zone
Kayac will release the largest update in the history of the Nintendo Switch game Ketsu Battler on July 30. The update, called Series 2, introduces the first paid DLC character, Kiden, a lightning-wielding fighter who is also the first in the game to have a counter skill. Kiden uses the Ketsu Ougi Counter to absorb an opponent's attack and responds with a massive lightning strike called Ketsu Divider. He costs 300 yen including tax. The update also adds a new system called Serious Zone, which activates when a player keeps attacking, wrapping the fighter in an aura and boosting basic stats while upgrading all Ketsu Ougi into Serious Ougi. The zone is more likely to trigger during long matches or when a player is behind after losing rounds. Four new stages join the lineup: Wide, Zero Gravity, Always Serious Zone, and No Serious Zone, bringing the total selectable stages to five with the existing Standard. All characters receive balance adjustments, and players can now set the number of rounds needed to win from 1 to 5. A half-price sale runs from July 30 to August 25, dropping the game to 250 yen.
