Metal Armor Dragonar 40th Anniversary HI-METAL R Dragonar 1 Set Opens Pre-orders
BANDAI SPIRITS will open pre-orders for the HI-METAL R Dragonar 1 & Cavalier 0 figure set on September 1, 2026, at general retail stores. The set commemorates the 40th anniversary of the broadcast of Metal Armor Dragonar and includes a newly molded Dragonar 1 along with the large optional part Cavalier 0, allowing fans to recreate the protagonist unit from the first half of the series. The figure stands about 170mm tall, or about 175mm with the Cavalier equipped, and uses ABS, PVC, and die-cast materials. The set includes a hybrid shield, two laser sword grips with a connector, two close combat blades, a hand rail gun with four spare magazines, two slow bombs, two anti-mobile armor grenades, two assault knives, the complete Cavalier 0 set, a dedicated stand, and five types of interchangeable wrist parts for each hand. The Cavalier 0 features multiple clear parts in the head disc section, two independently moving rail cannons, and a drum-type trunk room that can connect to the rear of the Dragonar 1 main body for stable posing. The figure includes hatch-opening gimmicks in various locations, a series original feature. The price is 29,700 yen including tax, with release scheduled for February 2027.
