KILLER INN Update Adds Revival, Two New Characters, and 300 Yen Sale
Square Enix released patch ver.0.9.5 for KILLER INN, its early access deception multiplayer game on Steam, on August 7. The update adds the Revival respawn function, which lets defeated players become ghosts and interfere with the match by sending hints to allies or causing confusion. After a set time in ghost form, a player can revive once while retaining XP and gold. The patch also introduces two new characters: the Psychometrist, who can track the killer by investigating corpses, and the Journalist, who can display all items and player locations on the map. Both are investigation-focused, adding new layers to the game's suspicion-driven play. KILLER INN is an asymmetric online multiplayer game supporting up to 24 players, set in a mysterious old castle where a small wolf team hunts a larger sheep team. It lacks discussion or voting elements, instead relying on fast-paced, skill-based PvP combat with firearms, melee weapons, armor, and traps. Sheep players can also win by collecting keys to escape on a ship. The patch also includes balance and UI adjustments. A 75% discount sale runs until August 21, dropping the price to 300 yen including tax.
