The anime adaptation of Nachi Aono's Kimi ga Shinu made Koi wo Shitai is moving through its broadcast run. Episode previews released across the summer and early fall track the central relationship between Shina and Mimi. In episode 10, Shina begins learning healing magic from Fran-sensei to stay close to Mimi, while Mimi grows uneasy when Shina tends to classmate Haru. By episode 11, titled Muku, the two are separated: Shina faces a practical exam while remembering her arm being cut off by the enemy, and Mimi, after a call-up order sends her to the battlefield, returns without injury.
The series is also building out its home video and event side. A three-volume Blu-ray release began October 28, with a fan distribution event at AKIHABARA GAMERS on August 8 and a second web radio episode on July 24. Episode 3, titled Friends, was the earliest preview in this run.
ReoNa performs the opening theme, Amore. In a September 2026 Megami Magazine interview, she said she had read Aono's original manga for a long time and had met the author through a radio program and at her live shows. She recorded the song with Pan of LIVE LAB., who wrote the lyrics and handled composition and arrangement.
