Steam Discovery Queue May Reward Wishlist Velocity, Publisher Data Suggests
Polden Publishing co-founder Kirill Akimkin analyzed 16 upcoming titles and found that Steam's Discovery Queue appears to favor wishlist registration velocity over cumulative totals. Titles that triggered the queue saw at least 6,980 wishlists in a single day, while those peaking at 3,179 did not. Akimkin suggests a daily rate of 5,000 to 7,000 may be the threshold.
