Level-5 announced on September 10 during its online presentation LEVEL5 VISION 2026 II Dream that the paid large-scale DLC Celestial Train and the Happy Final Station is coming to Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. The game is a slow life RPG available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, Android, and iOS. Release timing for the DLC is undecided. Level Infinite released the special animated PV and original theme song for the second round of the NIKKE in Kyoto collaboration in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE on September 9. Seven Level Games released the demo for Trolley Dilemma on Steam on September 4, 2026. The adventure game is built on the trolley problem thought experiment, putting players through more than 100 stages of choices with no correct answer. Ize Press announced four new titles during the Yen Press industry panel at Anime NYC on August 22, 2026. The slate leads with Whale Star: The Gyeongseong Mermaid, a six-volume historical romance webtoon by Yoonhee Na set in Korea under Japanese colonial rule in 1926. The story follows Sooah, a young maid who discovers Uihyeon, a wounded independence fighter fleeing Japanese authorities. The series has surpassed 13 million readers on WEBTOON and won the 2021 Korea Content Grand Prize Presidential Award. A live-action adaptation is in development. The publisher also revealed a Spanish-language edition of Solo Leveling covering the comic, novel, and audiobook formats. The comic and novel editions will be available in the United States and Canada, while the audiobook gets a worldwide release. Ize Press is adding the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok sequel novel by Daul, which centers on Sooho Sung, son of original protagonist Jinwoo Sung, as he enters the world of hunters and monsters. The company began releasing the Ragnarok comic in print in July. Finally, Ize Press announced Solo Leveling: The Board Game, a cooperative tactical tabletop title for one to four players, launching in Standard and Ultimate editions. The Ultimate edition includes collectibles such as a Beru plushie. Release dates and pricing were not announced.

Level Infinite announced on August 25 that the second collaboration between Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and Kyoto City, alongside JR Tokai's Oshi Tabi campaign, will run in stages starting in September. The Kyoto City portion, NIKKE in Kyoto Part 2, themed A Journey to Find Lost Items with Nikke!, runs from September 15 to November 10 and features a stamp rally, a new mystery-solving experience, and original item sales. Eight characters appear in newly drawn kimono-style outfits: Nayuta, Arcana, Velvet, Modernia, Anis, Sakura, Sin, and River Lelio. Players take on a Lost Item Investigation Mission, searching Kyoto for clues and solving mysteries with the Nikkes. The JR Tokai Oshi Tabi collaboration, NIKKE in Kyoto with Oshi Tabi Part 2, runs from September 11 to November 10 and includes Tokaido Shinkansen onboard content, newly recorded voice lines from the eight Nikkes that differ between outbound and return trips, boarding perks, station displays at Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto, and Shin-Osaka, a special exhibition inside Kyoto Station, and collaboration goods sold on Seven Net Shopping. Both events share a November 10 end date, and a special site is now open.

Level Infinite and SHIFT UP have released an official report on their Goddess of Victory: NIKKE booth at Comic Market 108, held at Tokyo Big Sight on August 15 and 16, 2026. The booth, themed "Victory Fireworks," featured a summer festival-style setup with stage programs, fan events, and photo sessions with five official cosplayers. Director Yu Hyun-suk appeared as a secret guest on both days, joining guest performer Foy, whose live act drew coordinated calls from the audience. The report also notes a "favorite bag gathering event" where attendees displayed character-themed bags, and a "NIKKE Daruma Otoshi" corner that drew cheers. Participants in the check-in event received a limited "Summer Limited Giant Shopper" bag. The staff of The Villager of Level 999 television anime revealed two new cast members on Friday. Yōji Ueda will play Militaria and Tetsu Inada will play Dark Dragon. Both characters appear in the anime's eighth episode, which airs next Thursday. The series debuted on TV Tokyo on July 1 and streams on Crunchyroll as it airs in Japan.

The manga adaptation of Kisetsu Morita's I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level light novel will conclude with its 19th compiled volume, as revealed in the 18th volume released on Monday. Yusuke Shiba illustrates the manga, which has run on Square Enix's Gangan Online website since June 2017. The 18th volume shipped on Monday, and the 19th will be the final one. The light novel series, which Morita self-published on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in June 2016 before SB Creative picked it up for print under its GA Novel imprint, is also ending. The 30th and final novel volume shipped on June 15, and Anime Corner reports it will conclude this October. The franchise has inspired a television anime: the first season premiered in April 2021, and the second in April 2025. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons, including an English dub for the first. The novel series ranked at #9 in the 2019 edition of the Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guidebook. Yen Press publishes the light novel and manga in English.

Level Infinite announced on August 5 that it will host a booth at gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, running from August 26 to 30. The booth, located at C071-A070 in Hall 6.1, will offer the first playable demo of Control Resonant, the sequel to Remedy Entertainment's 2019 action game Control. The game is scheduled for release on September 24 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Players control Dylan Faden, brother of the first game's protagonist Jesse Faden, and explore a Manhattan distorted by paranormal threats. The demo will be available in a dedicated area within the Level Infinite booth. Also playable will be the console version of Dune: Awakening, an open-world survival game set on Arrakis, scheduled for release on September 22, and a new in-game event for Hunt: Showdown 1896. The booth will also feature unannounced titles available for play, along with activities such as the Wheel of Infinity prize game and photo spots themed around the exhibited titles.

Ize Press will open a pop-up store called System Sync in New York City from August 14 to 30, timed with Anime NYC. A Kindle sale on Yoshihiro Togashi's works offers 50% off on the first 38 volumes of HUNTER×HUNTER, excluding the recently released volume 39. The full 39-volume set, normally priced at 18,177 yen, drops to 9,374 yen. Crunchyroll and Aniplex announced a new theatrical film, Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, at Anime Expo 2026 on July 3. The movie picks up immediately after the events of Season 2, Arise from the Shadows, continuing Sung Jinwoo's story on the big screen. Animation duties return to A-1 Pictures, the studio behind the first two seasons. The production committee includes Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C Media, Kakao Piccoma, and Crunchyroll. A teaser key visual and a concept video were shown, though the video was purely conceptual and contained no finished scenes. English voice actor Aleks Le appeared on stage, telling the audience that "the story is far from over." No release date has been set, with additional information promised later. The television anime adaptation of Miya Kinojo's light novel series Chillin' in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers will receive a second season, the production staff announced on July 4, 2026. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser visual featuring the character Fenrys and a teaser trailer that recaps moments from the first season. Original novel illustrator Katagiri and manga adaptation artist Akine Itomachi each released celebratory illustrations to mark the news. The first season aired 12 episodes from April to June 2024, produced by J.C.STAFF. Yoshiaki Iwasaki directed the first season, with Megumi Shimizu handling series scripts, Sōta Suwa designing characters, and Kujira Yumemi composing the music. The first season's cast included Satoshi Hino as Flio and Rie Kugimiya as Fenrys, among others. Kinojo commented on the sequel, stating that new characters will be introduced and that Flio and Fenrys will remain central to the story. J-Novel Club publishes the light novel series in English, and Crunchyroll streams the anime in multiple regions including North America and Europe. Crunchyroll announced at its Anime Expo 2026 panel on July 3 that the Solo Leveling series is getting a new theatrical film titled Solo Leveling: Beyond the System. The film continues the story after the second season and is currently in production. A promotional concept video and teaser visual were released. Studio A-1 Pictures returns to animate the film. Co-producers include Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C MEDIA, and Kakao Piccoma. Tao Tajima is directing the film and also serving as director of photography, editor, and colorist. Tomoko Sudo returns as character designer and key animator. The Japanese voice cast includes Taichi Sakai as protagonist Shun Mizushino. The first season of the anime debuted in January 2024, followed by a compilation film Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- in late 2024, and the second season in January 2025. The webtoon, based on Chugong's novel with art by the late DUBU, ran from March 2018 to December 2021 and has accumulated 14.3 billion views worldwide, with over 1.22 billion page views in Japan on Piccoma.

Level Infinite and SHIFT UP released the latest version "WAVE TO YOU" for Goddess of Victory: NIKKE on July 2, 2026, following scheduled maintenance. The update introduces two new SSR Nikkes: "Cinderella: Crystal Wave" (voiced by Aoi Yuki) and "Marciana: Marine Study" (voiced by Yuki Inagaki). Mika Pikazo's original doujin project Level Robochica is being adapted into a television anime, Amuse Creative Studio announced on June 24. The near-future science fiction story is set in 2050 Shibuya, where human-like machines called Robotica serve humanity. The anime will tell a new original story that inherits the world of Pikazo's 2017 self-published work. A teaser visual drawn by Pikazo shows the mysterious girl Lily reaching out with a smile. Pikazo commented that she created the story about people living in a world where happiness is taken for granted, expressing hope and strangeness through cute characters. The project expanded in 2019 when screenwriter Ryo Yoshigami joined to write Level Robochica Episode #β, and in 2022 Shinchosha published two novels: RE:BEL ROBOTICA 0 by Yoshigami and RE:BEL ROBOTICA by Gakuto Mikumo. The anime will debut its first footage at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles from July 2 to 5. Pikazo is the event's key visual illustrator and will appear in a panel on July 4. A booth will distribute a special booklet and screen a teaser PV using in-production footage.
