Magilumiere Magical Girls Season 2 Trailer Reveals New Cast, Ending Song, July 4 Premiere
The official website for the Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. television anime released the first promotional video for its second season on Tuesday, revealing new cast members, staff changes, the ending theme song, and a July 4 premiere date. The video previews the ending theme "BooooM!!!" performed by VTuber Marine Houshou. Mariko Higashiuchi joins the cast as Hitomi Koshigaya, replacing Yumiri Hanamori who stepped down from the role. Sayumi Watabe also joins as Iroha Akasaka. The season will premiere on NTV on July 4 at 24:55 JST (effectively July 5 at 12:55 a.m.). Riki Fukushima takes over as director at J.C.Staff, replacing Masahiro Hiraoka. Michiko Yokote is the new script supervisor, while Masahiro Fujii returns as character designer and Makoto Miyazaki returns to compose the music. New staff include assistant director Hiroyasu Oda, sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami, art director Shun Yoshii, CG director Shunsuke Kasuga, and editor Yuji Kondo. The first season aired from October to December 2024. The manga, written by Sekka Iwata and illustrated by Yu Aoki, ran on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ from October 2021 to July 2025, with its 18th and final volume shipping on September 4.
