Masashi Ueda Ends Three Long-Running Manga Series Simultaneously
Manga creator Masashi Ueda ended Otoboke Buchō Dairi and Kariage-kun on Tuesday, and Shin Furiten-kun will conclude on July 10. Kariage-kun, which began in 1980, inspired a 1989 TV anime and a 2023 live-action series. Ueda said he wanted to end all three at once and plans to continue his newspaper comic Kobo-chan.
