Five Gunpla Kits Open Reservations August 26, Led by MGEX Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam
BANDAI SPIRITS opened reservations on August 26 for five Gunpla kits announced during the "Latest! Gunpla Information Bureau" stream on August 25. The flagship is the MGEX 1/100 Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam, the third entry in the MGEX high-end brand and the first in Gunpla history to use colored plastic mechanical core plating. Its theme is "radiance expression," achieved through multiple gold plating types, extra finish, and real metallic gloss injection. The kit includes Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne figures, a Lacus figure that can ride the Proud Defender, and a standing Lacus figure for chest display. It is priced at 26,400 yen and releases in March 2027. The other four kits are the FULL MECHANICS 1/100 Graze Ein from Iron-Blooded Orphans at 7,150 yen (January 2027), the RG 1/144 Gundam Ground Type from The 08th MS Team at 4,620 yen (February 2027), the MGSD Double O Raiser from Gundam 00 at 6,050 yen (March 2027), and the HG 1/144 Hamma Hamma from Gundam ZZ at 4,400 yen (March 2027).
