Tower Defense 'Commander, It's a Horde of Orcs!' Launches on Steam
Mumpitz Games released its tower defense game 'Commander, It's a Horde of Orcs!' on Steam on July 28, 2026. The game is available for PC and supports Japanese display. Players defend a base against hordes of orcs that can number up to 100,000 per stage, using machine guns, orbital lasers, airstrikes, and nuclear bombs. The game has an incremental element: even after a game over, players earn points based on orcs defeated, which can be spent on a skill tree to strengthen defensive facilities. It also allows adjusting each tower's firing angle and range. The game attracted attention before release, with over 100,000 wishlist registrations. According to SteamDB, the peak concurrent player count on the first day was 7,684. Steam user reviews are off to a strong start, with 89% of 229 reviews positive, earning a 'Very Positive' status. The game is sold at a 10% discount for 899 yen including tax until August 12. Mumpitz Games is a small German studio that previously released the PvP auto-battler 'Auto Knight Squad' in November 2025.
