A browser tool called ColaV is now available for free, letting multiple VTubers appear on a single screen in real time. Developer nico built it so participants share a room code and join, skipping the usual routine of receiving someone's video, cropping it, and importing it into OBS. The free tier only allows joining; room creation is a paid version priced at 1,980 yen as an early access price.
Dwango announced on October 13, 2026 that the Nintendo Switch software "Niconico" will end service at 23:59 on March 31, 2027. New downloads from the Nintendo eShop stop at 23:59 on February 28, 2027. The Switch app, which launched in July 2017, lets users watch Niconico Douga videos across categories such as game commentary, currently airing anime, Vocaloid songs, and animal videos, with automatic related-video playback and playlists. Comment posting and likes require member registration. Accounts, My Lists, and other data carry over to the browser version of Niconico Douga and the Niconico Douga app, so they are not lost. Dwango stated there are no plans to support Niconico on the Nintendo Switch 2, and the app does not use the console's backward compatibility feature. A "Thank You for Playing So Much Campaign" will run for eligible users, delivering a record of play memories through Niconico's notification feature and granting a "Thank You for Using Nintendo Switch 'Niconico'" achievement to qualifying accounts.
Union Creative is re-releasing its Super Sonico White cat ver. figure, listed on Amazon.co.jp at 20,636 yen with tax included and a scheduled release of June 30, 2027. The non-scale painted PVC and ABS figure stands about 270mm including the base. Sculpting is credited to Minheru of Blond Parrot, with paint by Nana Moriyama. The glasses come off, giving the cat-ear and white swimsuit version a second look.
BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division is releasing the MGSD Kshatriya, the first non-Gundam type in the MGSD line, on September 26, 2026 at 7,700 yen (tax included). The kit comes from Mobile Suit Gundam UC, and its four binders are sculpted on the inside where the funnels store. Accessories are a beam saber set and a marking seal.
Amazon MGM Studios will stream the Prime Original film Madden on Prime Video from November 18. Nicolas Cage plays John Madden and Christian Bale plays Al Davis. David O. Russell directs and writes. The cast includes Kathryn Hahn, Sienna Miller, John Mulaney, and Shane Gillis. The film follows Madden's run with the Oakland Raiders and the creation of the Madden NFL video game.
Monochrome and Good Smile Company announced a new IP brand, Ignisphere, on September 25, along with its first game: the action RPG Dawngazer. Development is led by Takashi Noma, who directed and handled character design on Unicorn Overlord at Vanillaware. Noma left Vanillaware in March 2025, and game development now runs through Monochrome's studio, Ignisphia Studio. Monochrome handles planning and development, while Good Smile Company handles distribution and promotion. Music is by Yoshimi Kudo, credited on Unicorn Overlord and ELDEN RING. The teaser PV shows a medieval fantasy townscape, a white-haired figure carrying a sword, characters joining a procession, and a scene of kneeling before a grave. Dawngazer is scheduled for release in 2028 for PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, with Japanese, English, and Chinese (Traditional and Simplified) support. The Ignisphere brand is planned for figures and multiple light novel projects, including a novelization under KADOKAWA's Fujimi Fantasia Bunko.
The MGSD Kshatriya from Mobile Suit Gundam UC is on sale through a Premium Bandai Gundam Base Online Shop lottery, with applications open through Monday, October 5, 2026 at 15:00. The SD-scale kit carries MG-level detail, a movable internal frame through the body, four multi-function binders with deployable sub-arms, and a stand for displaying 24 funnels. It costs 7,700 yen including tax, released Saturday, September 26, 2026, with winners announced Wednesday, October 7, 2026 and shipping set for November 2026.
Bandai Spirits is re-releasing two BB Senshi LEGENDBB plastic models. Pre-orders open at Premium Bandai from 11:00 on September 29, 2026. Knight Unicorn Gundam (Beast Mode Ultimate Battle Ver.) is priced at 3,080 yen and Zaku Head (Dark General Super Steel Ver.) at 3,300 yen. Both are non-scale assembly kits using PS and PE, scheduled to ship in March 2027.

Game music composer Yoshimi Kudo announced on August 30 that he opened a YouTube channel. He will upload tracks he wrote for Shingetsu Doukou, a game that ended service on July 23, 2026, with the developers' permission. Four videos are already published. Kudo's credits include Unicorn Overlord, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, and Elden Ring.
Bandai Namco Filmworks posted the archive of the Life-size Unicorn Gundam Statue Final Ceremony to the official Gundam Channel on YouTube. BANDAI SPIRITS has announced the productization of two new prize figures in the hololive IF series, which imagines various situations for Hololive members. The first colored prototypes of the figures were revealed on August 27, 2026, via the Banpresto Brand X account. The lineup pairs Houshou Marine with the Crossbone Gundam X1 and Usada Pekora with the Unicorn Gundam, both in a Nui Armor (Plush Armor) style. Despite the cute chibi proportions, the designs retain distinctive elements such as head decorations and costumes. Both prize figures are scheduled to appear in crane games nationwide in February 2027. The announcement came with the hashtag hololive IF and the Gundam collaboration tag, and the copyright notice lists both Sunrise and COVER.
