Trails in the Sky the 2nd Details Cassius Bright, New Orbment, and Attack Cooking

Nihon Falcom updated the official website for Trails in the Sky the 2nd on June 18, 2026, revealing new character profiles and system details. The full remake of Trails in the Sky SC is set for release on September 17, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PC via Steam. The newly introduced characters include Brigadier General Cassius Bright (voiced by Kenji Hamada), Estelle's father who has rejoined the Royal Army after resigning as a bracer; General Morgan (Kozo Dozaka), the stubborn leader of the Border Regiment; Lieutenant Colonel Maximilian Seed (Kengo Takanashi), the captain of Ravenston Fortress; and Queen Alicia von Auslese (Eriko Nakamura), the 26th queen of Liberl. Duke Dunan (Yuta Odagaki) and his butler Philip Renard (Kazuki Kiyan) also return from the first remake. On the system side, the tactical orbment has been upgraded to a new model with seven quartz slots, up from six. Slot enhancements allow equipping higher-grade quartz and using more powerful orbal arts. Five high-level arts were shown: Blue Ascension, Silfarion, Abyss Fall, Lost Mobius, and Zodiac. The cooking system now includes attack dishes that can be produced when cooking fails; these can be used in command battles to deal damage without consuming CP or EP. Some dishes also provide buffs that carry over from quick battles to command battles for up to two turns.
