TECH PLAY-X will again support planning and operation of TECH DRIVERS in FY2026, the engineer talk series hosted by Toyota, Nissan, and Honda. Four sessions are planned under the theme of AI. In the first three, one automaker and a guest company from another industry take the stage; the fourth is a joint Toyota, Nissan, and Honda session on AI development in mobility. The FY2025 edition ran seven sessions, mainly online.
Hasegawa plans a 1/24 scale plastic model of the Nissan Sunny Coupe (B110) late model GX5, the sport grade added in August 1972 with a direct-drive 5-speed transmission. The kit uses all-new moldings and is set for release on Wednesday, December 2, 2026 as a limited-production item priced at 3,630 yen. Completed sample photos show a white body on genuine 12-inch wheels, with ride height selectable between normal and lowered.
Two Nissan Silvia S15 cars run by Evangelion Racing are being recreated as Tomica die-cast mini cars. Tomica Eva RT Unit-01 Nissan Silvia is modeled on the Unit-01 car shown at the 2024 NISMO Festival at Fuji Speedway, and Tomica Eva RT Unit-02 Nissan Silvia on the Unit-02 car active at 2025 events including Super Taikyu and FORMULA DRIFT JAPAN. Pre-orders open September 16, 2026 at 17:00 on Saporto Store, with release planned for early December 2026 to early January 2027 at 1,500 yen each.
Bandai's Vender Division launches Karkeshi GP, a new gashapon series reviving the classic Karkeshi toy. Two products, NISSAN Selection 01 and MAZDA Selection 01, release in the first week of September 2026. Each is a 24-type capsule lineup at 400 yen per play. The NISSAN set covers eight models from the R32 Skyline GT-R to the S30 Fairlady Z; the MAZDA set runs from the 787B to the SAVANNA RX-7.
The September-October issue of Televi-Kun, out July 31, includes a special Tomica collaboration: a Nissan GT-R undercover patrol car with an original paint scheme marking the magazine's 50th anniversary. The die-cast model features working suspension and opening doors. The issue also bundles a buildable Rising Police Braver Zero robot figure.
Takara Tomy will open TOMICA BRAND STORE at I'Park Mall Yongsan in Seoul on August 22, 2026. It is the sixth Asian location and the first in Korea. The store features a diorama of Seoul streets, a TOMICA WALL, and brand- items including a NISSAN GT-R NISMO Special edition.
Tamiya is re-releasing the 1/10 RC NISSAN R91CP electric RC car assembly kit, a model of the 1991 JSPC champion machine. The kit features a polycarbonate body, driver figure, cockpit parts, and a direct drive 2WD chassis. It is scheduled for release on August 22, 2026, for 24,200 yen.
