MangaPlaza Passes 1 Million Users in Fifth Year of U.S. Operation
NTT Solmare's digital manga platform MangaPlaza passed 1 million registered users at the end of July, five years after launching in the United States. Female readers make up about 90 percent of paying subscribers, and the platform carries titles from more than 120 publishers. A cousin service, Manga Mirai, is closing and moving its content to MangaPlaza. The Osaka-based operator also runs the Japanese platform Comic C'moA, and the two share a marketing and technology team.
