Pikmin 3 Deluxe Gets First Update in a Year with Switch 2 Resolution Boost
Nintendo released version 1.2.0 of Pikmin 3 Deluxe on September 1, 2026, the game's first update since June 2025. The patch is aimed at the Nintendo Switch 2. It raises the game's supported resolution to full HD on the Switch 2, and adds local wireless support to the Bingo Battle mode, letting two players with one Switch 2 and one copy of the software play on their own screens. Local wireless play can be received on the original Switch as well, but game chat is limited to the Switch 2 and requires an internet connection and a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Pikmin 3 Deluxe is the definitive version of Pikmin 3, originally a Wii U title, and includes all paid downloadable content, side stories featuring the previous game's protagonist Olimar, new mission modes, difficulty options, and hint functions. The story mode supports two-player cooperative play. The game is available for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, and is currently on sale at the Nintendo Store for 6,578 yen.
