Perplexity Ships Portable Computer, a Fully Local AI Agent
Perplexity released Portable Computer, a fully local version of its Perplexity Computer AI agent. Neither the LLM nor the harness relies on the cloud; everything runs on local hardware. It runs on an NVIDIA DGX Spark workstation or a Linux machine with RTX GPUs, with PPLX 27B and Qwen 3.8 27B models available and NVIDIA Nemotron 3.5 Lightning support expected soon.
