SanDisk's Switch 2 microSD Express Card Gets 512GB Model On October 1
SanDisk will release a 512GB version of its Nintendo-licensed microSD Express Card for the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 1, priced at 28,980 yen. The card joins a 256GB model that has been the only capacity in SanDisk's officially licensed microSD Express line until now. The 256GB card carries Mario's "M" mark, while the 512GB version has a Fire Flower printed on it. Sales have already started at Amazon, Rakuten, and Yahoo Shopping. The article notes that the 28,980 yen price appears to be affected by recent rises in memory and SSD semiconductor prices. The announcement comes as a separate Princeton 1TB microSD Express Card, verified for Switch 2, is on sale at Amazon.co.jp for 39,800 yen, down from a 55,400 yen reference price, though that card is not a Nintendo-licensed product.
