Puuzaki Puuna announced on Friday that their adult dojin manga The Shy Snow Woman and the Cursed Ring is receiving a television anime adaptation. The creator claims this is the first time an adult dojin manga has been adapted directly into a TV anime without first having a separate commercial version, noting that previous adaptations of adult dojin works have been OVAs. The television anime will feature an original story that differs from the original manga, along with anime-exclusive content. Puuzaki Puuna stated they supervised detailed aspects of the production and expressed excitement about seeing the characters Yukino and Kaede moving and speaking on screen. The manga, which began in 2021, has two all-color volumes. Irodori Comics has released both volumes in English. The story centers on a landlord who finds a ring that can control yokai and uses it on a snow woman living in one of the apartments.
