Reincarnated in a Mafia Dating Sim Anime Confirms TV Format
TO Books announced on Thursday that the anime adaptation of Tōko Amekawa's light novel series Reincarnated in a Mafia Dating Sim will be produced as a television anime series. The announcement came via TO Books' X/Twitter account and was also reported by Comic Natalie. Amekawa launched the original story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2022, and TO Books published the first novel volume with illustrations by Meiji Anno in May 2023. Anno drew illustrations through the third volume, with LINO taking over from the fourth volume, which shipped in August 2025. Gōto is credited for the original character design and launched the manga adaptation on TO Books' Corona EX manga website in January 2023. The manga's fourth compiled volume shipped on March 1, and both the novels and the manga's sixth volume are scheduled to ship on August 1. Tokyopop releases the manga in English and has also licensed the light novels. The story follows Francesca Calvino, the granddaughter of a yakuza boss who reincarnates as the heroine of a mafia-themed dating sim, where she tries to cancel her engagement with the villainous Leonardo Aldini, only to attract his attention instead.
