SNK's 1981 Shooter Satan of Saturn Hits Arcade Archives and ACA2 on August 27
Hamster Corporation will release SNK's 1981 shooting game Satan of Saturn across its Arcade Archives and Arcade Archives 2 lines on August 27, 2026. The game appears as Arcade Archives Satan of Saturn on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, and as Arcade Archives 2 Satan of Saturn on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Prices are set at 838 yen for the Switch version, 837 yen for the PS4 version, and 1,100 yen each for the PS5 and Xbox versions, all including tax. Players who buy the PS4 version can purchase the PS5 version at an owner discount price of 330 yen. Satan of Saturn tasks players with firing missiles and laser beams to repel UFOs and rockets invading Earth before heading to Saturn for a final battle against the demon of the same name. The standard Arcade Archives release includes difficulty settings, save functions, rewind, rapid-fire, and online rankings. Arcade Archives 2 adds Time Attack Mode to Original, High Score, and Caravan modes, and supports VRR to more closely match the original arcade behavior. A special Satan of Saturn broadcast of the official program Arcade Archiver is scheduled for 19:00 on the release day, featuring game introductions and developer talks.
