This Week in Anime Turns to the Legacy of Sayo Yamamoto
Anime News Network's This Week in Anime column pairs Coop and Sylvia for a career survey of director Sayo Yamamoto, prompted by Coop's recent first viewing of Yuri!!! on Ice. The chatlog follows her from storyboard work at Studio Madhouse and episode direction on Samurai Champloo through series she directed, and the hosts frame the piece around her absence from the industry. Crunchyroll streams Michiko & Hatchin, Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Space Dandy and Yuri!!! on Ice.
