Pokemon Center and Sean Wotherspoon Collaborate on Vintage-Style Plush Toys
Pokemon Center announced a collaboration with Los Angeles-based designer Sean Wotherspoon for a line of plush toys featuring Bulbasaur, Charizard, and Pikachu. The plush toys, each priced at 7,700 yen, are designed with a vintage aesthetic inspired by details from Wotherspoon's own vintage clothing collection. The fabric is new but printed to mimic a faded, worn-in look. Pre-orders open on Pokemon Center Online on July 23, 2026 at 10:00 JST and run through August 7 at 16:59. The first shipment is scheduled for late August 2026, and a second made-to-order shipment is planned for mid-to-late January 2027. To mark the release, a product unveiling event will be held at Pokemon Center Shibuya on July 23, featuring Wotherspoon and Pikachu. General admission to the event is by lottery, with applications open from July 10 to July 14. Wotherspoon, a vintage collector and co-founder of the shop ROUNDTWO, said in a statement that Pokemon has been a big part of his life since childhood and that the project allowed him to connect his vintage storytelling with the franchise.
