Serata is a 22-year-old Pokémon UNITE pro for DetonatioN FocusMe, profiled by 4Gamer in June 2026. A manga license announced in October 2026 is credited to a Serata Naminami, a different person.
Serata is named in two unrelated Yomimono stories, and they do not describe the same person. The June 2026 story covers Serata, a 22-year-old Pokémon UNITE pro who plays for DetonatioN FocusMe. The profile covers his career, practice habits, and his goal of representing Japan at the World Championship Series. He named FENNEL's Mame as a player he respects and cited Shohei Ohtani's "Stop admiring" philosophy as a personal motto.
The October 2026 story is about Glacier Bay Books and its five new manga licenses. One of the five is Oedo-chan of Moguraya by Serata Naminami, a creator name that shares the surname only. The story says nothing about the Pokémon UNITE player, and the June story says nothing about manga. Pre-orders for the five licenses and two other books open on Kickstarter the following week, and Glacier Bay Books continues its reprint releases of Star Fruit Books titles.
Nothing in the stories connects the two people beyond the shared name, and neither story reports any later development after its own publication. The pro player's competitive position and the manga creator's line of work are each established only in their own story.
Synthesized by Yomimono from the cited Yomimono stories below, each itself sourced, then editorially reviewed. Every fact links the story it came from.
Glacier Bay Books announced five new manga licenses on Sunday: Serata Naminami's Oedo-chan of Moguraya, Aoi Mukoubi's A Vase of Life, Akino Kogomi's Faraway Blue, Aoi Ikebe's All I Can Do, and Ikuko Hatoyama's The Dovecote Express. Pre-orders for those titles, plus two other books, open next week on Kickstarter. The publisher is also continuing its reprint releases of Star Fruit Books titles.
4Gamer's "Weekly Pro Gamer File" series profiled Serata, a 22-year-old Pokémon UNITE pro for DetonatioN FocusMe. The piece covers his career, practice habits, and goal of representing Japan at the World Championship Series. Serata cited FENNEL's Mame as a respected player and Shohei Ohtani's "Stop admiring" philosophy as a personal motto.
