Serial Lover Adds Japanese Support With 20 Percent Launch Sale
Sugar Slip released a Japanese localization update for Serial Lover on October 22, 2026. The game is a dark comedy visual novel fused with a rhythm game, in which the protagonist wakes in an unfamiliar mansion with no memory and must win the hearts of six serial killers or be killed by them. Sugar Slip is a Toronto indie studio founded in 2019 by solo creator Slip, and Serial Lover is its debut title. The full version launched on Steam and itch.io on January 16, 2026. The price is 1,200 yen including tax, and a 20 percent discount brings it to 960 yen until October 29. Automaton reports the game has 167 Steam user reviews, 91 percent positive, for a Very Positive rating. The update also adds Simplified Chinese and Korean, localized by KURONO STUDIOS, with final LQA by Active Gaming Media.
