Shigeru Sagasaki is not named in the two Yomimono stories about the series; coverage centers on the second season of From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman and its crossover with Reincarnated as a Sword II.
The two Yomimono stories about this corner of coverage concern the second season of From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman. Neither story names Shigeru Sagasaki, so the current picture is built from what is stated about the production and broadcast.
Episode 11, titled "The Old Country Bumpkin Gets Furious," has a synopsis and advance scene cuts out and airs at 23:51, six minutes later than usual because of the TV Asahi IMAnimation W slot. A collaboration visual with Reincarnated as a Sword II, which starts airing in October, pairs Beryl with Fran under the line "The sword that leads, the sword that is led." The series streams on Prime Video. The earlier story covers episode 9, "The Old Man from the Countryside Goes to the Holy Capital," which follows Beryl's return to capital life, his stay downcast over Vesper's injury, and Princess Sarakia's marriage procession, with Beryl assigned to the escort group traveling to Dilmahaka, the holy capital of Sfendyard Vania, always anticipating attack from the Verde Apis mercenary corps. A finale screening for episodes 11 and 12 is set for September 12, with a talk show featuring lead voice actor Hiroaki Hirata, director Akio Kazumi, and series composition writer Kunihiko Okada ahead of the TV broadcast.
The throughline is the season's closing run: episode 9 establishes the Holy Capital arc and the escort mission, and episode 11 ties the show to another sword series while the finale screening brings the cast and staff out before broadcast. Coverage does not attribute any of this to Shigeru Sagasaki.
