Loner Life in Another World Season 2 Announced
The television anime adaptation of Shoji Goji's Loner Life in Another World light novel series will receive a second season, the production staff announced on July 4, 2026. The first season aired in October 2024 on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji, and was directed by Akio Kazumi at Hayabusa Film and Passione. The announcement was accompanied by celebratory illustrations from light novel illustrator Saku Enomaru and manga artist Bibi. Author Shoji Goji expressed gratitude for the support that led to the sequel. Lead voice actor Shuichiro Umeda, who plays protagonist Haruka, also shared his excitement about returning to the role. Haruka Shiraishi, voice of the Class Representative, and Saori Hayami, who voices Angelica, each offered congratulations. The light novel series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2016, and Overlap has published 18 print volumes. The series has over 2.8 million copies in circulation according to one source, while another reports over 4.3 million copies including digital editions.
