Soka City Becomes First Municipality in Japan to Adopt On-Premises Generative AI
FIXER announced that Soka City, Saitama Prefecture, has begun introducing the on-premises generative AI service Sovereign GaiXer, the first such case among municipalities nationwide. The city has promoted AI use to address labor shortages from the declining birthrate and aging population, but conventional generative AI raised information leakage concerns for tasks handling personal and confidential data. The new system keeps AI use within a closed city office environment.
